How much of God’s will do you need to know?

Tuesday Thoughts by Princeton Meadow Church, Princeton, NJ

How much of God’s will do you need to know?

J.I. Packer said, “A God whom we could understand exhaustively, and whose revelation of Himself confronted us with no mysteries whatsoever, would be a God in man’s image, and therefore an imaginary God, not the God of the Bible at all.”

We will never fully understand all of God’s ways and purpose.  All of the mysteries we need to unravel in this life are explained in the person of Jesus Christ.   As Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:9,  “He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ.”

In Christ we know all the mysteries of God’s will that we need to know!
